It Started With a Fascination
We're Thomas and Eric, the father-and-son team behind ANT SHACK.
We got into ant keeping because there is something extraordinary about watching a colony develop. A tiny group of ants becomes a complex living world, with tunnels, workers, food trails and behaviours you could easily spend hours observing.
But we felt the habitats themselves could be more interesting too.
So we started creating our own.
The idea behind ANT SHACK was simple: build habitats that are fascinating to look at, practical to use and able to grow alongside the colony.
That idea became our modular system.
Today, we design and make ANT SHACK habitats in our workshop in Switzerland and send them to ant keepers around the world. What started as our own fascination has become a community of more than 8,000 customers.
And we're still fascinated.
